Matt Powers starting sliding cars around the beaches of San Diego with high school friends. He soon found out about “drifting”, a high-skilled motor sport where drivers maneuver their cars into controlled sideways slides at high speeds through a marked course. His passion and skill for drifting led him to become a professional driver in 2009 for companies like EA Games, Red Bull, Nissan, Ford, GM, and Nitto Tire; and to race in the US, Japan, Europe, New Zealand, China, Australia, Panama, Indonesia, and Canada. No stranger to driving under pressure, or on camera, Powers has won and podiumed in front of 20,000 live fans and cameras reaching millions through web and TV. After multiple successful drift seasons Powers now focuses his efforts towards stunt and precision driving.
